The space board is an upgrade for the Captain's Deck, that gives the player a movement speed boost while riding. The player must be riding this item to recevie the speed bonus benefits. Interacting with doors will not remove the player from the spaceboard, but interacting with other items, characters, or the microbe mini game will. If the player leaves behind their spaceboard, or forgets where they put it - it will be back in the docking station the following morning after going to sleep.

The ability to purchase this upgrade, unlocks a couple of days after the player has landed on Blue Reef, they will need to venture to the plaza for a cutscene to play.
