This page has the event information for Doc12.
Friendship
Cinematics are triggered from different friendship levels, and can trigger when one or more characters reach a certain level, and the player enters the area of that scene.
Starship Romance (1)
To trigger this cinematic cutscene the player must have Doc12, Jimmy, Frances, or Robert at good friend friendship status or higher. It can be triggered any day of the week.
Let's see...
Twelve boxes of test tubes... check.
Two large boxes of cotton swabs... check.
You do this every time, but I already double checked it...
Trust me, it's all there.
As I have stated before, it is my responsibility to make sure the order is accurate and accounted for.
Thanks for a wonderful time. I had so much fun.
It was my pleasure. I always enjoy your company.
That was my observation as well.
So, I guess our parent's relationship is getting more serious.
I don't know how I feel about them dating.
I don't see why your opinion would matter. What business is it of yours anyway?
Hey, my opinion matters! Why do you always have to say things like that?
You are so rude sometimes. Can't you just have a normal conversation?
Well, if you really want my opinion, I don't understand Robert as a potential mate for Frances.
She is a highly educated person and clearly out of his league. It's peculiar.
Seriously... I can't believe you just said that!
Fine. I must be going now anyways...
Starship Romance (2)
To trigger this cinematic cutscene the player must have Doc12, Jimmy, Frances, or Robert at best friend friendship status or higher. It can be triggered any day of the week.
Thanks again. I had a wonderful time out on our date today.
Oh, hey. What were you both up to?
Is it really necessary to ask pointless questions?
It's obvious they are engaged in another courtship ritual.
Ugh... that is so weird. Why would you say it like that?
It's called a date, not a courtship ritual!
Now, now guys. Can you at least try to get along?
You never know. You might become step-brother and step-sister one day.
Yeah, he's right... it's possible.
Just something to think about.
Wow... they are getting even more serious these days.
I guess I just never thought of my dad with anyone else. But I do like Frances. She is a great person for him.
After more consideration, I can see that they do share things in common and have a lot of compatibility.
True... and they do appear happy.
I suppose you and I could get along too... for their sake of course.
Yes. I think you are correct, for once.
Our personal differences can be put aside.
Great, then we have a truce.
But can you promise to act less weird from now on too?
Well, I can try to bring myself down to your level... if that's what you mean?
We'll have to keep working on that.
Dates
The player must give Doc12 a date invitation to trigger the date. This does not count towards the two gifts the player can give this character each week, and the player can only go on one date a week with a certain character, but can go on dates with other characters in that same week.
First Date
$playerName, this location is quite suitable for a date so I appreciate the thought and effort it took to arrange everything.
Um... I should mention... you also have an appealing appearance today as well.
Um... small talk is not one of my stronger qualities...
It was not really encouraged when I was growing up.
We mostly focused on our medical training from the day we were born.
I say 'we' because I was born in a facility with 26 identical siblings all created as clones to be trained as outstanding medical professionals.
As you probably know, cloning was outlawed many years ago before my birth. So, it made The Facility, where I was raised, an illegal operation.
Is this the first time you've met a clone?
PLAYER: You're the first.
That is very unusual since many clones take on highly skilled positions throughout Space Alliance.
PLAYER: I've met others.
Not surprising since we exist across many professions. And even though some of us try to hide our true origins, we tend to be easy to identify.
Most of us never experienced common human nurturing or what you would consider rites of passage.
Frances adopted me in my adolescent years, after The Facility was shut down.
She has been teaching me how to tune into my feelings, while allowing me to continue my medical training.
But I have yet to understand the value in some emotions...
I have been told I can come across a little harsh and cold sometimes, but I am trying to work on breaking those habits.
PLAYER: Professional Goals
Me too. Professional goals are just easier to identify and are more logical.
PLAYER: Meaningful Connections
I think I understand, but I struggle to create those connections sometimes.
Are you a deeply emotional person?
But it would be helpful for me to document this experience and reviewing it with Frances later when I get home.
Perhaps I can decipher our connection more with some internal analysis.
PLAYER: Yeah, I'm a big crybaby.
Interesting... I have been trying to unlock those emotions and learn how to cry myself.
PLAYER: Not really, things don't phase me.
Then we have another thing in common. From a compatibility standpoint this would make us an even stronger match.
But if you have any additional information to share with me about our personal relationship, I would be happy to add it to the file I have started about you.
Oh... It is now time for me to get back to work.
Thank you for this dating experience, $playerName.
I'm told, one of us should follow up with the other in the next few days if we want to continue this relationship.
But if you don't mind... let's just forget the formalities and continue to be ourselves. I like you the way you are right now.
Second Date
$playerName, this is quite... charming.
I appreciate your attention to detail and your consideration for what I might enjoy.
Since you invited me out, I guess that means our connection has grown stronger.
So if you don't mind, there are a few things I wanted to get your perspective on.
A few days ago I got into a verbal disagreement with CPU over a Space Alliance medical recommendation.
He can be very illogical for a computer, and I am still feeling this hot and itchy feeling about it.
What do you think this emotion is?
PLAYER: Anger
Anger? Oh... CPU makes me so angry!
PLAYER: Frustration
Hmm... frustration? CPU is the most frustrating computer in the universe!
Yes, it does feels normal to say this kind of thing out loud.
You are really good at this.
OK, how about this one...
Sometimes I have noticed people prefer to have Frances help them in the Medical Bay instead of me.
Would you say they are feeling scared of me?
Thanks, $playerName. This is really good advice.
PLAYER: Yes, that could be.
Hmm... then in response I should smile more and use more flattering words to put them at ease.
PLAYER: It's probably something else.
Interesting... so I'm not necessarily scary, but I should monitor my actions to try and identify other behavioral patterns that could be causing this reaction.
I have one other thing too that has been on my mind.
I've also been thinking a lot about you recently...
I'm not sure what it all means, but I know when I'm not with you I am starting to feel some kind of emptiness.
Do you think this is some kind of romantic emotion?
Whatever all this means, I have this connection to you that makes it difficult to think.
Frances is no help, she just laughs and points at me until I tell her to leave the room.
PLAYER: Yes, it's love.
You really think so? *blushes* What is this warm feeling in my face right now? Is this normal?
PLAYER: Are you sick?
I ran all necessary tests to rule out illness at this time so my conclusion is this is some kind of unidentified emotion.
So I'm glad I have you to help me figure out these complicated chemical reactions.
Oh... [PLAYER]. I have to stay on schedule so I should get going now.
But please remember what I said and let me know if you are experiencing these emotions as well on your end.
I'm looking forward to hearing your analysis later.
I do value your opinions and trust your judgement. Let's do this again soon.
Third Date
[PLAYER], spending time with you has become important to my social well-being.
In addition, I think the chemical attraction between us is undeniable.
Maybe it would be nice to continue being together for a while longer...
Marriage
Engagement
Once the player has achieved the prerequisites to get engaged they are able to give a engagement ring to propose to Doc12. A small conversation between Doc12 and the player happens, then CPU congratulates the player on their upcoming marriage, and gives the player additional details around the wedding ceremony.
This is so very traditional of you... but I have to say, quite a nice gesture.
It does make sense for us to co-habitat...
...and, I think this feeling I have... well...
...well... I think this must be what people call love.
Let's do it then, let's get married...
...but just don't get too sappy on me, OK?
Oh boy, aren't you lovestruck!
...and let me be the first to say...
<size=12>CONGRATULATIONS!!!</size>
You really do make a great couple...I'm just so emotional about it all.
This calls for an extra big wedding celebration... full of flowers, good food, streamers, romance, oh and lots of dancing.
I'd be happy to perform the ceremony too... and I won't take no for an answer!
I'll schedule the ceremony in about a week's time.
We both better get moving, there is so much planning to do before the wedding...
. . .*runs task mode*. . .
Wedding
Captain... you're getting married today!
Are you ready to get started?
Welcome everyone to the wedding of $playerName and $spouseName!
The happy couple wanted to thank everyone for taking the time to be here today.
And it only took a couple of broken dollies and a lot of arguing to get me down here too.
As an ordained CPU unit, well versed in many languages and wedding cultures...
...the memories of each wedding I perform occupies a special space in my hard drive.
We have thousands of important moments that happen throughout our lives...
...but this one is special because love is what we share.
In this moment, we are reminded that the ability to love is the very best part of who we are.
$playerName and $spouseName...
now that you have expressed your love and vows for one another...
It is with great joy to officially unite you in the universe as $weddingTitlePlayer and $weddingTitleSpouse.
You may now kiss each other as partners in life.
Congratulations to you both!
Allow me to officially introduce the new happy couple for the first time...
...co-captains in life... $playerName and $spouseName!
...and now it's also part of my official duties...
...to get this party started!
And everyone danced and celebrated well into the evening...
$spouseName has moved into your quarters.
