Tools are given to the player when they first join the ship's crew. Initially, all tools are at level one, but players can upgrade them at the Machine shop using credits and various resources. Each upgrade enhances the tool's effectiveness and capabilities.

Laser Blaster

The laser blaster is used to break rocks and ore, and it allows the player to protect themselves from creeps by zapping them.

At level two, it has increased damage power. At level three, it has further increased damage power and adds a supercharged blast that pierces grass. At level four, it grants maximum damage power for both regular and supercharged blasts. The supercharged blast is activated by pressing and holding the primary key.

Microbe Detector

The microbe detector allows the player to search for microbes on the ship by sending out a pulse within a certain range, which increases with upgrades. If a microbe is detected, an icon shows the direction until the player finds it and engages in a mini-game to catch the microbe.

At level two, it has increased scan points and adds a HUD display showing the number of microbes in the area. At level three, it further increases scan points, enlarges the scan radius, and improves the chance to detect rare microbes. At level four, it grants maximum scan points and a HUD display showing the types of microbes by color.

Restoration Ray

The restoration ray is used to clean and repair the captain's deck, both inside and on the outer hull. It removes debris and repairs holes in the ship.

At level two, it can fix medium-sized objects. At level three, it can fix large-sized objects with a twenty-five percent increased restoration speed. At level four, it can fix extra-large objects with a fifty percent increased restoration speed.

Shovel

The shovel is used to dig dirt while exploring planets.

At level two, it can dig up two areas at once on a single charge. At level three, it can dig up three areas at once on a single charge. At level four, it can dig up four areas at once on a single charge. Players charge the shovel by pressing and holding the primary key, digging in a straight line in the direction the player is facing.

Watering Pack

The Watering Pack is used to water crops on both the captain's deck and the outer hull. It can be refilled at a water source by having it selected and using the secondary key click.

At level two, it can water three areas at once on a single charge and holds sixty units of water. At level three, it can water six areas at once on a single charge and holds eighty units of water. At level four, it can water nine areas at once on a single charge and holds one hundred units of water. Charging the Watering Pack is done by pressing and holding the primary key.

Spaceboard

The Spaceboard is an item that allows the player to increase their movement speed when they ride it. This item is an optional upgrade to the Captain's Deck, and once purchased the player will be able to use the spaceboard anywhere on their spaceship. This item is always returned to its docking station in the morning.
