Cat is an adorable and charming feline companion that the player can adopt during their travels. Unlike most of the characters that become part of the ships crew, this NPC must be found aboard the player's ship to be recruited. Once the player has recruited Cat, they are able to give them a name of the player's choosing. Once Cat is part of the crew, they will move into the captains quarters with the player, and wander the ship during the day.

As the bond between the captain and Cat strengthens, Cat becomes more affectionate, snuggling, and cuddling with the player, and playfully swiping at their hand. Eventually, Cat will show deep affection, rolling around on the floor, rubbing against the player's legs, licking their arm, and giving slow cat-eyed blinks. When Cat becomes a best friend, they will often jump on the player's lap, roll over, sprawl out over their feet, and lick their hand, making it difficult for the player to get work done due to Cat's loving presence.

Cat responds enthusiastically to gifts they love, snatching them quickly and leaping with joy. Gifts they like result in perking up and happy purring. If a gift is only of neutral interest, Cat will sniff or lick the item briefly before losing interest. Disliked gifts will be ignored, shrieked at, or turned away from.

In appearance, Cat is a small, gray feline with a cute and expressive face. They have a sleek coat and a tail that reflects their mood, often twitching with curiosity or curling up in contentment. Cat's overall look is one of cuteness and approachability, making them an endearing and delightful companion for the player on their journey.

Recruiting this character
On the plaza deck (4) next to both stairwells, there is some mud leading into a wall. Enter the secret entrance by walking into the wall leading to the maintenance passage. From there enter the door in the middle, a cut-scene will play and the player will be able to adopt and name Cat.
