Flutter Bug is a royal butterfly, and one of the xeno's that have the possibility of hatching from a Xeno egg after incubating for five days. Xeno's have three growth stages, and as they grow in age they have the possibility of producing a higher quality version of their base item. Flutter Bug's will grow into their teen stage after ten days and grow into an adult once they have reached thirty friendship points. This xeno produces an flutter silk when they are young, with the possibility of producing shiny flutter silk as they grow older.

Xenos will only produce their items if they are properly cared for, by feeding them plant material everyday and petting them often. If the player doesn't care for their Flutter Bug, it will not die, but it will no longer produce products until it is happy again.

The player will be able to purchase the specific species of egg, after they have discovered it from the random egg.
