These are items that are crafted from raw resources and are produced in a machine that isn't the recycler, composter, or microbe composter.

The tally page is a feature within the menu under the "Captain" tab, where the player can keep track of which items they have uncovered, how many of those items, and the value of those items. It is especially useful when attempting to craft all of the various items in the game.
This name is a bit misleading in the tally sheet, as it doesn't line up with all of the items that are categorized as "resources" in the game. The player should think of these more as "raw resources", where most items are processed into something else through one (or more) of the various machines. The exception to this is the fertilizers, as they are processed items.

The workbench is where the player can craft all types of machinery.

Each Xeno drops two different items, one item while they are a teen and an adult, and a second type of item has a chance to drop once they hit adulthood.

These items must be cooked in the kitchen, to get a kitchen the player must have at least a level two quarters, an upgrade that can be bought at the Machine shop.

Crops grow from seeds that can be bought at the General Store, they must be planted in a small planter. For a crop to populate on this list the item must be harvested, it does not matter if the player harvests a normal, super, or radiated version of the crop. Any of them will unlock the entree.

Artifacts are found while exploring the different planets. They can drop from digging in the dirt, or breaking open meteorites in the extractor.

Similar to artifacts, gems are found while exploring the different planets. They also can drop from digging in the dirt breaking open meteorites in the extractor.

Microbes are found on the spaceship using the microbe detector.
