CPU is distressed the wildlife on the surface could target the ship or maybe even him for their next snack, CPU is requesting the player manage the problem. The requirements of this quest will change with the ships location. CPU will only request the player zap creeps of the planet the ship is orbiting when the quest is obtained. The number of creeps requested to kill will also vary, with easy creeps requiring between four and twelve and harder creeps requiring between two and five. This also means that the reward for this mission varies based on the amount of enemies the player needs to zap.

The bulletin board can be found to the right of Chip's Canteen on the plaza deck (04). Every few days the bulletin board will have a marker above it, letting the player know there is a new request to pick up. There are three types of bulletin missions: to kill enemies, to find a certain type of microbe, or to bring various items to the character who posted the request.

Overview

  1. Pick up the quest from the bulletin board.
  2. Go down to the planets surface and zap the requested wildlife.
  3. Turn in to CPU

Walkthrough

Bulletin Board

When this mission is selected, the player will see a generic bulletin request that says:

Help!

Those little pesky buggers on the surface are getting too close for me. They might start chewing through the shuttle craft wires and then who knows... I could be next! I hope someone can help scare them off.

Anxious,
CPU

The quest can choose from any of the enemies that are on the planet the spaceship is currently orbiting. The number of enemies the player must zap is chosen by the difficulty of the creep, the player will always get a number within this kill range. The reward range in the below table is calculated off of the kill range. The player can calculate their specific reward using this formula: (20*numberOfEnemies)*1.5=creditReward

Zapping Creeps

The player will then need to make sure they have their laser blaster and journey to their space shuttle on deck 06, the cargo and shuttle bay. Once at their shuttle they need to select one of the exploration levels. The player can jump between the check-point levels to refresh which enemies are on that level, or they can choose to push through the levels as normal.

If the player speaks with CPU while this mission is active, they will say:

CPU portrait stressed.png
Oh Captain, just having you here brings me comfort.
CPU portrait stressed.png
With those wild aliens out there, I haven't been sleeping well so I hope you can scare them off for me.

The player can open the mission log, on the left side of the screen, at any time to check their progress. Once the player has zapped enough of the requested creeps, the mission log icon will have a green check mark on it. It is suggested the player confirms they completed this specific mission, as the green checkmark just tells the player that one of their current missions are complete.

Turn In

Once the player has zapped all of the creeps, they need to return to CPU. When the player speaks with them, the quest will automatically turn in and they will say:

CPU portrait confused.png
So those aliens are scared off now... and you swear they won't be bothering me?
Pinky promise?
CPU.png
OK, I feel better now, thank you Captain.

The player will then automatically obtain their Credits.png credits reward, based off the number of creeps they killed.
