Sprout wants to peer review his microbe report by an adult. The player must catch the specific type and let him know the results. Microbe catching requests on the bulletin board, have a chance to ask for 2 to 3 of any of the four different types of microbes. After these microbes have bee caught and the player has returned to Sprout, they will keep the microbes not turn them in.

The bulletin board can be found to the right of Chip's Canteen on the plaza deck (04). Every few days the bulletin board will have a marker above it, letting the player know there is a new request to pick up. There are three types of bulletin missions: to kill enemies, to find a certain type of microbe, or to bring various items to the character who posted the request.

Overview

  1. Pick up the quest from the bulletin board.
  2. Catch the requested microbes.
  3. Turn in to Sprout

Walkthrough

Bulletin Board

When this mission is selected, the player will see a generic bulletin request that says:

Hi Everyone

My microbe homework won't be complete until I have it reviewed by another scientist onboard. Can anyone else catch these microbe types and let me know if you find the same things I did?

Thanks everyone
Sprout

There are only a few of the crew that will ask for microbes on their bulletin board request, all of them are able to ask for two to three of any of the four types of microbes. The player does not turn in the microbes when turning in the quest, so they are able to sell or use them as they see fit. The reward range in the below table is calculated off of the quantity requested range. The player can calculate their specific reward using this formula: (12*quantityRequested)=creditReward

Using this formula the player will be rewarded between 24 Credits.png and 36 Credits.png upon turning in the quest.

Active

Once the quest is active, they will need to gather the requested items within the designated time frame. The player can open the mission log, on the left side of the screen, at any time to check their progress. Once the player has gathered enough of the requested items, the mission log icon will have a green check mark on it. It is suggested the player confirms they completed this specific mission, as the green check mark just tells the player that one of their current missions are complete.

If the player speaks with Sprout while this mission is active, they will say:

Sprout.png
Really? You want to help me catch those microbes?
Sprout.png
The other grown-ups always say they are too busy.
Sprout.png
But once you catch some of them, I'll know for sure if my report is correct.

Turn In

Once the player has obtained the requested item(s), they need to return to Sprout. When the player speaks with them, the quest will automatically turn in and they will say:

Sprout.png
Oh yay! You caught the same exact microbes I was studying! I knew you could.
Sprout portrait happy.png
Captain, you are so cool.
Sprout.png
Now that you have double checked my findings, I feel confident this report is getting an A+.

The player will then automatically obtain their Credits.png credits reward, based off the number of microbes requested, and will get the microbes they caught back.
